If so, you must have been in Lexington between 1935 and 1978, when owner Joseph Houlihan closed the store at 224 East Main Street after losing the lease.

Jeans honor foreign guests

A couple of unusual flags are flying at Valvoline headquarters on Blazer Parkway near Richmond Road.
They are there to honor Ashland Inc. employees from China and Singapore who are in Lexington for a couple of weeks to learn about computer software that allows Ashland to run its businesses with fewer employees.
Ashland is Valvoline’s parent company.
