Jeans honor foreign guests
A couple of unusual flags are flying at Valvoline headquarters on Blazer Parkway near Richmond Road.
They are there to honor Ashland Inc. employees from China and Singapore who are in Lexington for a couple of weeks to learn about computer software that allows Ashland to run its businesses with fewer employees.
Ashland is Valvoline’s parent company.
In honor of their visit, Ashland declared Friday and March 7 to be “jeans days” for its Lexington employees.
The jeans don’t have to be made in China or Singapore, but that might be worth extra points.
