Several whisky makers have created cocktails for the presidential candidates and their backers.

You would think the bourbon industry would want to forget all about Prohibition, the years between 1920 and 1933 when all-but-medicinal alcohol beverages were illegal and most distilleries closed or switched products.

Time currently has a very entertaining feature on its Time.com Web site called “50 Authentic American Experiences.”
Just don’t look too carefully at the picture with the Kentucky item if you have blood pressure problems.

Thanks to his friend Bill Ambrose, Barry McNees is now the proud owner of a fifth of 100 proof James E. Pepper Bourbon that came out of the barrel in 1945.

It’s a tradition at the U.S. Embassy in Paris to hold a huge garden party on July 4th to celebrate our independence and the French role in defeating the British.
